What is Know Your Path DC?
Know Your Path DC is a public health initiative led by the DC Department of Behavioral Health and guided by the recommendations of the Opioid Advisory Commission.
This campaign was created to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and help people affected by substance use disorders find trusted information, local resources, and support.
Through prevention messaging, public education, and connection to care, the campaign helps DC residents better understand opioid risks, the impact of fentanyl, and the services available for prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery.
Our Goals
- Develop prevention messaging that resonates with DC residents.
- Educate the public about opioid risks, especially fentanyl and its role in overdose deaths.
- Help people and families understand the impact of substance use disorders.
- Promote healthy lifestyles & the importance of mental health care.
